During data extraction this evidence was linked to the concept of volitions, which as we gradually developed a mind-map of the data and its interpretation was linked in turn to ‘interactivity’ in the context of ‘absence of cure’ as we sought to understand success and failure within our synthesis. The line of mid-grey boxes demonstrating these links can be read from left to right or vice versa, mirroring the iterative process between theories and data extraction during the synthesis.
