Asterisks indicate a significant difference between countries (mixed effects linear regression model adjusted for age and sex: *p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001). Importance was rated on a 5 point scale (1, not present; 2, present but not important; 3, present; 4, important but not major complaint; 5, very important). GI: gastro-intestinal symptoms.
